JEWELRY CARE

GOLD

Solid gold jewelry does not fade but gold is a soft metal, so every gold jewelry piece needs to be worn with care as it is susceptible to scratches and chips. Try not to let your gold jewelry get in contact with chemicals such as perfumes, lotions, beauty products, and harsh soaps, as it may damage your jewelry over time.

Clean your jewelry regularly with a lint-free soft cloth or a gold jewelry polishing cloth. Alternatively (once in a while) fill a bowl with warm water, add a few drops of mild dishwashing soap, soak your jewelry piece for 10-15 minutes, then gently brush it with a soft toothbrush to clean. Rinse under warm water to ensure no soap residue is left (don't forget to close your sink cap!) and always air dry your jewelry piece before storing it.

It is best not to wear your gold jewelry in the swimming pool or ocean for long periods; exposure to chlorine or salt water can damage jewelry and lead to breakage.  However, if you decide to wear your jewelry into the pool or ocean ensure you soak it in water after for about 15 minutes, then air dry it.

GEMSTONES

For jewelry containing precious or semi-precious gemstones, it is best to remove it before showering, swimming in the pool or ocean as your gemstones can discolour and may get damaged.

Wipe with a lint-free soft cloth to remove any skin oils or dirt. Avoid direct contact with chemicals such as soaps, lotions, perfumes, beauty products and detergents.

DIAMONDS

Diamonds may be the hardest gemstones but are still prone to scratches and chips from sharp blows. Dirt can also accumulate in diamond jewelry over time and cause it to look less shiny, however this can be easily fixed.

Clean your diamond with a lint-free soft cloth.

It is best not to wear your diamond jewelry in the swimming pool or ocean for long periods; exposure to chlorine and salt water can dull the appearance of diamonds and damage gold over time (plus you don't want to risk loosing it in the ocean!). However, if you decide to wear your diamond jewelry into the pool or ocean, ensure you soak your it in water after for about 15 minutes, then air dry it.

PEARLS

Pearls are delicate in nature, so don’t forget to treat them with love. Make sure they are the last thing you put on before going out and the first thing you take off when you come home.

Clean your pearls after each wear. Simply wipe with a lint-free soft  cloth to remove any skin oils or dirt.

Avoid wearing your pearl jewelry into the shower, swimming pool, ocean or during exercise and avoid direct contact with chemicals (such as soaps, lotions, perfumes, hairspray and detergents).
